I'm Sophia — an asset management consultant and economic columnist based in the American Midwest. I've spent the last decade helping individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions, and somewhere along the way I got tired of the same problem: the information people actually need is buried under jargon, corporate-sounding language, and articles that explain everything except the part that matters.

Spill the Tea Daily started as my answer to that problem. I write about the financial topics, consumer costs, and current events I was already researching professionally — and I write about them the way I'd explain something to a client sitting across the table from me: with real data, a clear conclusion, and no pretending it's simpler than it is.

For the past ten years, I've worked as an asset management consultant — helping clients cut through the noise in global financial markets and translate what's happening at the macro level into decisions that actually make sense for their specific situations. I also write regularly as an economic columnist, which means I spend a lot of time making complex topics readable without dumbing them down.
